Filming Urie's video today was funny because Aaron was dancing hilariously. I didn't have to do anything--just watch. We also worked with Final Cut Express but pretty much did the same things as we've done on other days.

My Green Screen

Today was my day for filming and it did not work out too well. I didn't think I was going to be nervous but a soon as I got p there I froze up. I'm not the kind of person who usually gets stage fright but when we did the medium shot I could't think of anything to do. I just stood there. I guess I won't be using that much of the green screen since it came out pretty badly. Now I'll just have to get really good footage.

Final Cut Pro

I can't wait to use final cut pro, but it does look really complicated. I think it's going to take me a while to get used to because there are so many little things to remember about it. Hopefully before to long I'll be able to use it well and actually make my own movies!

Naveed Nour Photography

I liked seeing the pictures from the guest speaker yesterday because they were personal to him and I like taking pictures too. I understand that the ones that were out of focus were supposed to be like that, but I thought some of them were too blurry.

being the cameraman

I liked doing the camera yesterday when we filmed and I really want to make my own video. The best part about filming was having the headset on and being able to tallk to the people in the studio.

more shooting

We did more shooting today and started looking at Final Cut Pro. It seems like you can do more in it than in iMovie. I couldn't shoot today because of my foot which happens to be broken at the moment but hopefully by Thursday, when I'm planning to shoot, I'll be off my crutches. If not, well I guess it could be funny to have that in my video.

shooting

I liked recording in the studio because I just got to watch everyone which was fun. I really want to do my green screen but I don't know if I'll be able to jump around and stuff because of my foot though. Maybe tomorrow I'll at least get to go in the studio though. I have to think about what costume I want to wear too.

director's commentary

After watching the movie I really liked watching the director's commentary because it put the whole film in perspective. It made you realize that no matter how serious these issues are the three guys making the film don't take themselves too seriously. This is important because it makes Justin, Bobby, and Larin relatable and it makes it feel like you really know the people in the movie.
I guess I liked the director's commentary better than the actual movie, but I woldn't want to watch it with the commentary until I had already watched the real movie first.

Yay...it worked!

ahg

Ok, now I really don't like idvd since it won't let me burn my project.

making the dvd

Today we worked with idvd to make a dvd of our videos. I thought idvd was even more annoying than imovie because it kept not lettting me do stuff. I couldn't drag certain pictures where I wanted to and I wish I could have put video clips in the opening screen.

Invisible Children

Seeing the Invisible Children video makes it seem like anyone, even just college kids or whatever can get to know people all the way in Africa. I mean I could go to Africa and meet kids my age. Why not? I mean why aren't more people with the resourses to do so doing this. You can really relate to Bobby, Larin and Jason. It makes their experiences so real.
